Dear Well-wishers and Friends of TARA,
It is the onset of the festive season in India and the children of TARA are excited as the festivals mean getting together for joyous celebrations, gifts, and fun times.
September was already an eventful and joyful month as we were proud to launch two new programs in TARA Outreach Centre, and celebrated the 7th anniversary of TARA Girls. Some of the TARA Boys and TARA Girls had the opportunity to use their writing talents by becoming journalists for the most recent edition of the French Magazine “l’Elephant Junior”.
Last but not the least, we need your help! We are conducting a survey to get your feedback on our communication and to better understand your expectations. We would love to know your views!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing in TARA's children and continuing to support them.

Launching two new programs at TARA Outreach Centre |
|
 |
On September 9th, we celebrated the launch of two exciting new programs at TARA Outreach Centre, one focused on girl empowerment and the other on health. They came after months of research and outreach in the community to identify the key areas where action is needed. The first program aims to empower the teenage girls who come to the Outreach Centre and ensure their first steps on the road to independence. It will provide them with support for English and confidence building courses, and also give sex education and life skills sessions. On the other hand, the health program is made up of medical visits and sessions on health and hygiene, good nutrition, female hygiene, reproductive and sexual issues, and first aid training for all the children of TARA Outreach Centre. To make sure these programs become an integral part of the Saidulajab community, awareness sessions for families will be included in both programs.
You can read more about the newly launched programs thanks to two recent articles on the website: one is written by Noorjahan, a beneficiary of TARA Girls, about the Girl Empowerment program and the second article explains the work done prior to the launch of the health program.
